Coming off of an 8-2 loss on Tuesday, the Miami Marlins will look to win the three game interleague series with the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night. Henderson Alvarez will oppose Hector Santiago on the mound.

Henderson Alvarez has been Miami's most consistent pitcher, and it is Alvarez who will get the start as the Marlins try and avoid their second consecutive series loss. In his last start against the Rockies, Alvarez pitched six innings while allowing four runs and striking out five.

Hector Santiago pitched five innings in his last outing against Oakland, allowing two runs (one earned) while walking two and striking out five.
