Short Season Class A: Batavia Muckdogs L 0-2 @ Jamestown Jammers

Mason Davis, 2B: 1-4,
Javier Lopez SS: 1-4,
Rodrigo Vigil, C: 2-4,

Gabriel Castellanos SP: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 5 SO, 1 BB

The Muckdogs were held scoreless last night in a 2-0 loss to Jamestown. Batavia had six hits, but unfortunately could not get into the run column. One of my favorite players in the system Mason Davis (who I gush about frequently) added a hit to raise his batting average to .332. It seems like it's time for his next challenge. If they can find at-bats for him in Greensboro finishing the season a level higher could be good for the New York Penn League all-star's development. Starting pitcher Gabriel Castellanos was fantastic, allowing no runs and striking out five in six innings of work. Unfortunately the bats and bullpen did him no favors. A two run bottom of the 8th sealed the victory for the Jammers.
