Looking to remain in contention, the Miami Marlins are set to host the Texas Rangers for a quick two game series at Marlins Park beginning on Tuesday night. Jarred Cosart will oppose Miles Mikolas on the mound.
Pitching Matchup

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Cosart pitched well in his second start as a Marlin, going seven innings while allowing three hits and no runs to complement three strikeouts.
Miles Mikolas has been batted around in several starts this season, most recently against the Rays. In six innings, Mikolas allowed ten earned runs while walking two and striking out one. Yu Darvish was scheduled to make the start for the Rangers before being placed on the disabled list.
Lineups
Donovan Solano gets the start at second base, with Jarrod Saltalamacchia getting the start behind the plate and batting seventh. The Marlins, at times, had difficulty scoring runs and adding to leads against the Diamondbacks, but may see a lot to hit with Mikolas on the mound.
Notes
-Can the Marlins stay hot? After taking three of four from Arizona, the Marlins are confident they can remain competitive in the Wild Card hunt.
-Will Cosart pitch well? Following a short Marlins debut, Cosart seemingly had everything working his last time out.
