New Orleans won a low scoring contest against the Reno Aces 1-0. Andrew Heaney was fantastic. Heaney pitched eight shutout innings allowing only one hit, no runs, while striking out nine. An Enrique Hernandez homerun provided the only scoring in the game. Austin Wates reached base three times, Kyle Jensen had two doubles, and Juan Diaz also had a single.

The Jacksonville Suns shutout the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in a 4-0 victory on Sunday. Starting pitcher Jose Urena pitched seven shutout innings striking out five. The outing lowered his season ERA to 3.47. Reliever Reid Redman pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Redman has not allowed an earned run with Jacksonville in 7.1 innings since being promoted from Jupiter. Viosergy Rosa had another good day at the plate, raising his average to ,333. Austin Barnes got the start at second base, which is the third position he has played in Jacksonville (along with third base and catcher).

The Hammerheads played yet another doubleheader Sunday (that's life in the Florida State League). In game one they struggled to score and fell to Charlotte Stone Crabs 4-1. Matt Milroy did not pitcher terribly, but four runs was enough to give him the loss. Justin Bohn had two hits, while Derek Dietrich went 0 for 2 in a rehab appearance. In game two Jupiter righted the ship and brought home a 6-5 victory. Justin Bohn added a hit and an RBI, while Matt Juengel provided two hits, an RBI, and scored two runs. The teams were tied at five heading into the bottom of the 7th but a walk-off wild pitcher would score Juengel to give the Hammerheads the win.

The Grasshoppers demolished the Kannapolis Intimidators 14-2 on Sunday. All nine players in the starting lineup recorded a hit, and seven of the nine had multi-hit games. Catcher Chris Hoo contributed two hits raising his batting average to .600 in his four game stint with Greensboro. Kentrell Dewitt had a three hit day scoring three runs, and driving in one. Overall the Hoppers pounded out 17 hits. Domingo German started and pitched two innings allowing one run. He was piggybacked by Chris Sadberry who added 4 innings, allowing only one run. The win puts their record at 79-48.

Batavia used a ninth inning rally to comeback and defeat Jamestown 4-3. The Muckdogs were down by a run heading into the ninth, in that inning a Carlos Duran double scored Mason Davis, and Javier Lopez which would put them ahead 4-3. Alex Carreras would nail down the save to secure the victory. Batavia got another solid outing from Ben Holmes who allowed only one earned run during five innings of work. His season ERA currently sits at 2.93.
