New Orleans dropped a slugfest 9-8 to Tacoma. The teams combined for 28 hits on the night, and Tacoma scored two runs in the top of the 12th to give them a two run lead. The Zephyrs clawed back for one in the bottom of the 12th but it was not enough. Enrique Hernandez continues to play well, having reached base three times including a solo homerun. He is hitting .323 with New Orleans. Justin Bour, and Brian Bogusevic went 4-4, and 3-3 respectively. Bour slugged two homeruns and had four RBI.

The Jacksonville Suns won a see-saw game on the road against Chattanooga 5-4. Viosergy Rosa had a massive day, reaching base four times and finishing a homerun shy of the cycle. The Suns were down 4-3 heading into the 9th inning. In that inning a Joe Benson single would score two runs to give the Suns a 5-4 lead. Matt Ramsey would nail down the save in the bottom of the 9th.
Advanced Class A: DH Jupiter Hammerheads W 4-3 L 2-3 vs. Bradenton Marauders

The Hammerhead and Marauders were scheduled to play 14 innings because of a doubleheader, but because of extra innings in game one they ended up playing 21. Game one was tied at three all the way until the bottom of the 14th inning. An error by the second basemen allowed Matt Juengel to score giving Jupiter the win.
Game two was a little less wild, seeing the Marauders take a 3-2 victory. Jupiter took a 2-1 lead into the 6th inning, but Bradenton would score two in the inning on back to back doubles to secure the lead.

The Grasshoppers won a close game with Kannapolis 4-3 on Thursday night. Avery Romero hit a solo homerun to help the cause, and Jarlin Garcia contributed four shutout innings. It was tie game in the bottom of the 7th, but then J.T. Riddle sent a solo homerun out of the park giving Greensboro the lead. Tyler Bremer, and Tyler Kinley would each pitch a scoreless inning to secure the win.

Batavia got whacked by Williamsport 9-1 on Thursday. Batavia only scored a single run on five hits. Gabriel Castellanos had a rough outing, allowing five earned runs in five innings of work. Mason Davis added a single to raise his average to .331. He is hitting .351 in his last ten games, and has recorded a hit in eight out of those ten.

The GCL Marlins defeated the GCL Mets 6-5 Thursday. 2014 second round pick Justin Twine smacked two extra base hits, a double and a triple. Angel Reyes, and Rony Cabrera each had three hits on the day. Struggling catcher Blake Anderson hit a single, but still on has one extra base hit this season.
