Miami Marlins Trade Rumors: Milone, Lester off the market

To begin the day, starters Tommy Milone and Jon Lester were both quickly traded. The Marlins continue to look for other options, with Ian Kennedy and Wade Miley among the possibilities.

The Miami Marlins are reportedly still looking to add a starting pitcher, and a pair of arms the organization was after are off the market as of Thursday afternoon. Here are some notes as of noon eastern time.

-Tommy Milone is no longer available, having been traded to the Minnesota Twins. The Marlins liked what they saw in the lefty, who was sent to Triple-A and requested a trade.

-Miami was internally discussing John Lester, however he was dealt to the Athletics in one of the bigger deals of the day. The Marlins may continue to pursue John Lackey, who has a year left on his contract.

-David Price talks are increasing rapidly following the Jon Lester deal.

-John Danks could be a sleeper candidate, with Ian Kennedy and Wade Miley among other available options.
