The Suns beat the Barons 7-6 behind a gritty performance by Justin Nicolino. The Suns were down five runs in the bottom of the 9th inning but rallied to tie the game sending it to extra innings. The Baraons would score in the top of the 10th to take another lead, but an Alex Burg 2-run walk off homer would win the game for the Suns.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers continued to rake, smacking 14 hits in a win over Asheville. Felix Munoz had a day, knocking two homers in the 9-8 victory. Brian Anderson got the started at third base and contributed a pair of singles and a double. A Carlos Lopez RBI single in the 10th would end up as the deciding run.

After being above .500 most of the season, Batavia has started to struggle of late. They dropped the first game of doubleheader to Jamestown last night 3-1. The bats could not get going in game one, but Batavia would rebound in the second game to win 10-0. Jacob Smigelski pitched five shutout innings striking out four and walking none. The outing lowered his season ERA to 3.00.

The GCL Marlins dropped Thursdays game to the Mets 5-3. An Austen Smith homerun was the only extra base hit for the Marlins, but Nestor Bautista pitched well in his two inning stint lowering his season ERA to 2.03.
