Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves: Game 98 Thread and Icththyomancy

Tom Koehler will try and get the Miami Marlins closer in the division race as they face the Atlanta Braves in the first of a three-game set.

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves face off in the first of a three-game set with a chance to close the division race. The NL East is far away from the Fish, so Miami will work to pick up a few wins in this series.

Pitching Matchup
PROJ ERA FIP ERA MARLINS Braves ERA FIP PROJ ERA
4.44 4.12 3.99 Koehler Teheran 2.71 3.50 3.47

Koehler has had a few better starts as of late, while Teheran was an All-Star who had a few bad starts heading into the All-Star break. The two will clash, and the Marlins offense will try and improve on their last time facing Teheran. Last time against Miami, Teheran went 7 1/3 innings and gave up two runs with five strikeouts and two walks.
