The Fish are trying to avoid their seventh straight loss today as they face the San Francisco Giants. They will ask Brad Hand to lead the way after their top two pitchers, Nathan Eovaldi and Henderson Alvarez, disappointed in their first starts of the second half.

Brad Hand has been bad all season long, and the Marlins have known for years that he is unlikely to be Major League quality. Tim Lincecum has been mediocre for years, and the Giants probably know at this point that he is not an elite pitcher. There's still a significant difference between them, however.
