After falling to the Giants in the first game following the All-Star break, the Miami Marlins will look to even the series in game two of the series on Saturday night at Marlins Park. Henderson Alvarez will get the start for the Marlins, with Tim Hudson taking the mound for San Francisco.
Pitching Matchup
PROJ ERA | FIP | ERA | MARLINS | Giants | ERA | FIP | PROJ ERA |

Henderson Alvarez's solid first half numbers earned him a spot on the National League All-Star roster, and he will look to start the second half strong against a solid Giants lineup on Saturday.
In his last start before the break against the Mets, Alvarez struggled, lasting five innings while yielding six runs and striking out three.
Tim Hudson had difficulty against Oakland in his last outing, going five and a third innings while giving up six runs and walking three to complement four strikeouts.
Lineups
The newly recalled Jordany Valdespin gets the start at second base and will hit second for the Marlins. Saltalamacchia starts game two behind the plate with Adeiny Hechavrria batting eighth.
San Francisco turns to the same lineup that scored nine runs on Friday night looking to rally against Alvarez.
Notes
-Can Alvarez go deep? Nathan Eovaldi's short start on Friday night forced Mike Redmond to go deep into his bullpen following in the first game after the break.
-Will Miami's offense support Alvarez? Having scored just one run on Friday, the Marlins' offense has run into a slump with runners in scoring position.
