Triple-A: New Orleans W 4-3 @ Oklahoma City RedHawks

Full Box Score

Kyle Jensen, 1B: 2-for-3, BB, 2B

Brian Flynn, SP: 6 IP, 10 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

In a rare start at first base, Kyle Jensen reached base three times for the Zephyrs in their 4-3 win in OKC on Wednesday. Jensen has now hit safely in his last seven games. Brian Flynn gave up a whopping ten hits in six innings but he was able to work out of a few jams and only give up three runs. The Zephyrs actually trailed for the majority of this game but a two-run eighth inning pushed them to the victory.

Double-A: Jacksonville Suns

High Class-A: Jupiter Hammerheads W 8-4 @ Charlotte Stone Crabs

Full Box Score

Viosergy Rosa, 1B: 1-for-4, HR (8), RBI

Austin Brice, SP: 5 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K

Jupiter picked up a big win in Charlotte on Wednesday thanks to the seven of the nine batters in their lineup recording one or more hit. Viosergy Rosa was the lone player from this matchup to go yard, hitting his 8th HR of the year. Obviously, Rosa's power numbers aren't where one might expect them to be coming off of a year in which he hit 23 in Greensboro, but if you really look into it, Rosa's hit for power this year, he just hasn't seen quite as many leave the yard. Rosa's only hit .252 last year, which in comparison with his .282 this year, might suggest that Rosa has been improving his game in other areas.

Low Class-A: Greensboro Grasshoppers W 3-0 vs. Kannapolis Intimidators

Full Box Score

Felix Munoz, 1B: 2-for-4
Avery Romero, 2B: 1-for-3, RBI

Sean Townsley, SP: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K

Sean Townsley was absolutely fantastic in seven innings and the Hoppers gave him just enough run support to pick up their 58th win of the season. Townsley is a 6'7'' 240 lb. left-handed pitcher who obviously is an intimidating presence on the mound. The Marlins selected him in the 25th Round of the 2013 Amateur draft out of High Point University in North Carolina. Townsley has dominated every professional level he has been, including the SAL in 10 starts this season so he could be seeing a promotion before the end of the season.

Short-Season: Batavia Muckdogs L 1-2 @ Aberdeen IronBirds

Full Box Score

Ryan Aper, CF: 1-for-3

Jorgan Cavanerio, SP: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K

Held to only four hits Wednesday in Aberdeen, Batavia couldn't give Jorgan Cavanerio any real run support. Cavanerio has had a rocky start to his 2014 campaign in Batavia; this start marked his first tangible sign of improvement. Cavanerio is a prospect who at times dominated the GCL over the last two years but he is very, very raw and unpolished. Still, he is just 19 years old and he's definitely a little known name to tuck away.
