After losing five consecutive games, the Marlins were able to top the Dodgers 13-3 on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Miami was able to jump out to a 6-0 lead thanks to a Dodgers defensive miscue. Reed Johnson, Garrett Jones, and Jeff Mathis all singled to load the bases with one out, and Anthony DeSclafani hit a ground ball to second base that Dee Gordon couldn't field cleanly which allowed two runs to score.

Christian Yelich hit a sacrifice fly against Maholm to push the Marlins' lead to three, and Ed Lucas hit a two-run home run to left field to make it a 5-0 contest. Giancarlo Stanton doubled and scored on a Jeff Baker infield single to give the Marlins an early six run edge.

Led by Johnson and Mathis home runs, the Marlins were able to add six more in the top of the sixth to make it a 12-0 game.

In his major league debut, DeSclafani went six innings and gave up seven hits and two earned runs while walking one and striking out seven. His command was solid and he was able to pitch with a large lead.

Los Angeles added runs in the fifth, sixth, and eighth. Randy Wolf relieved DeScalafani, going three innings and giving up a run.

Miami begins a three game series with San Francisco on Thursday night.
