Avery Romero homered as part of a three-hit night in an otherwise disastrous day for the Miami farm system.

Very little went well for New Orleans in their bout with Colorado Springs, as Tyler Matzek silenced the Zephyrs offense, striking out 11 batters in five innings pitched. Adam Conley's first Triple-A start represented an unqualified disaster. He surrendered five runs in the first inning alone.

Fort Myers similarly tore apart the Hammerheads, scoring eight runs in the first inning. Colby Suggs later gave up a grand slam, making the game a complete blow-out.

Greensboro took an early lead in the second inning thanks in part to Avery Romero's home run, but the success was short-lived. Two Hickory home runs in the fourth inning gave the Crawdads a lead that they held for the remainder of the game. The Grasshoppers only managed to score three runs, despite earning 11 hits.
