Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs

W 4-2 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers

Full Box Score

Kyle Skipworth, C: 2-for-3, 2 HR, 2 RBI

Elih Villanueva, SP: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Chris Hatcher, RP: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, SV (4)

Triple-A New Orleans completed their sweep of Omaha at home on Sunday, taking the final game 4-2. Kyle Skipworth hit his second and third home runs of the season, both of them coming off of left-handed pitchers and leaving the yard in right center field. Skipworth is still only hitting .171 on the season and struggling in all facets of the game, so you have to hope that this will become a turning point for him.

Double-A: Jacksonville Suns

W 10-0 vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Full Box Score

Austin Nola, SS: 2-for-4, 3 RBI

Wilfredo Gimenez, C: 2-for-4, 2B

Justin Nicolino, SP: 8 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

Justin Nicolino had his first exceptional start of the season and he got plenty of run support from his teammates in the Suns' 10-0 win on Sunday. Nicolino had yet to go five innings with more than two strikeouts on the season, so this start, facing a strong Montgomery lineup, must be huge for him. It will be interesting to see what Nicolino will do in his next start, in Mississippi.

High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads

L 2-3 (F/12) vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs

Full Box Score

Colin Moran, DH: 3-for-4, 2 2B, BB,

Viosergy Rosa, 1B: 2-for-4, 2 RBI

Scott Lyman, SP: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K

Despite Colin Moran reaching base four times and Viosergy Rosa coming up with a clutch hit, Jupiter fell to Charlotte in twelve innings. Scott Lyman had another impressive start for the Hammerheads. Lyman has only allowed two earned runs in thirty-two innings on the season.

Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers

W 3-0 @ Hickory Crawdads

Full Box Score

Austin Dean, DH: 2-for-4

Chad Wallach, C: 1-for-3, BB, HR (2), 2 RBI

Ryan Newell, SP: 8.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, * K

Ryan Newell was nothing short of phenomenal for the Grasshoppers Sunday in Hickory. Newell, a seventh-round pick from the 2012 Amateur draft, has 35 strikeouts in just over 31 innings pitched on the year.
