Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
W 5-0 @ Albuquerque Isotopes
Chris Coghlan, 3B: 3-for-5, R, HR
Rob Brantly, C: 2-for-4, R, 2B, HR
Matt Neil, SP: 6.0 IP, 4 H, BB, 6 SO
Rob Brantly's double and home run represent, unfortunately, an outlier in his otherwise disappointing Triple-A campaign. This time last year Brantly was starting every day for the Marlins, but currently he holds a .194/.217/.284 stat line for New Orleans.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
L 2-3 vs. Mississippi Braves
Austin Barnes, 2B: 2-for-3, R, HR, BB
Anthony DeSclafani, SP: 7.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, BB, 6 SO
Strangely, Austin Barnes has seen his offensive numbers improve since graduating to Double-A. After hitting .260/.367/.343 in Jupiter, he is batting .352/.453/.519 in 64 plate appearances for Jacksonville.
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads
L 3-6 vs. St. Lucie Mets
Noah Perio, 2B: 0-for-4, SO
Ryan Rieger, 1B: 2-for-3, R, HR
Josh Hodges, SP: 6.2 IP, 8 H, 4 R, ER, BB, 4 SO
The St. Lucie Mets took an early lead in the first inning, which the Hammerheads were able to match in the second. Then in the third, St. Lucie added on again, which Jupiter was able to counter and tie the game. This back and forth continued for five innings, until the Hammerheads stop scoring, and the Mets were able to coast to victory.
Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers
L 1-6 @ Lakewood BlueClaws
Colin Moran, 3B: 1-for-4, 2B, SO
Jesus Solorzano, RF: 0-for-4, 2 SO
Austin Brice, SP: 3.0 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO
Colin Moran has been on the fire recently, batting .384/.455/.564 the last 10 games. The first round draft pick has raised his season line up to .301/.356/.444.
Short-Season: Batavia Muckdogs
L 3-9 @ Williamsport Crosscutters
J.T. Riddle, 3B: 2-for-4
Jarlin Garcia, SP: 5.0 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 5 SO, HR
The Muckdogs were beat on by a talented Crosscutters offense. The Phillies' second round pick from last year, Dylan Cozens, hit a two run single, while their third round pick from the same year, Zach Green, homered.
