The Miami Marlins will try and recover from their ugly, if not close loss from last night against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They will try and do this with former Dodgers prospect Nathan Eovaldi on the mound, as Captain EO takes on free agent acquisition and ace Zack Greinke.
Pitching Matchup
Proj Win% | Proj ERA | FIP | ERA | Marlins | Dodgers | ERA | FIP | Proj ERA | Proj Win% |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
.422 | 4.67 | 3.95 | 3.96 | Eovaldi | Greinke | 3.02 | 3.57 | 3.33 | .577 |
Nathan Eovaldi has an extremely interesting fastball, but he still has not put everything else together. Zack Greinke has been good since his acquisition this offseason, Carlos Quentin issues aside.
Lineup
Order | Player | Proj wOBA vs. RHP |
---|---|---|
1 | Christian Yelich | .321 |
2 | Donovan Solano | .278 |
3 | Giancarlo Stanton | .393 |
4 | Logan Morrison | .355 |
5 | Ed Lucas | .282 |
6 | Adeiny Hechavarria | .271 |
7 | Jake Marisnick | .292 |
8 | Koyie Hill | --- |
9 | Pitcher | --- |
Koyie Hill is getting a surprisingly large amount of playing time over elite super-catcher Jeff Mathis. I guess I'm not really complaining though. The rest of the lineup is OK.
Bold Prediction: Dodgers def. Marlins 6-1
