The Miami Marlins host the hottest team in baseball, and that cannot be a good thing. The Fish play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and all the usual intriguing storylines are present in tonight's affairs. Hanley Ramirez returns to Miami once again, and he's red-hot right now. Yasiel Puig is a nightly highlight reel of hitting. And of course, the pitching matchup tonight is one to die for, as rookie sensations Jose Fernandez and Hyun-Jin Ryu battle in the first of a four-game series.

It does not get any better in terms of pitching matchups than in this one. Hyun-Jin Ryu captivated an audience early in the season with his surprisingly strong performance coming out of Korea. He was living up to all expectations and then some for the Dodgers. But the Marlins were quietly brewing a stud of their own, as Fernandez's performance has forced folks to take notice. His fantastic numbers in a 20-year-old rookie year have put him near the forefront of the Rookie of the Year race.

The Marlins will return to their typical lineup, involving hefty doses of players who cannot hit and the hope that the few who can will turn it up. Tonight's pitching matchup promises to make that difficult.
