Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
L 4-10 @ Omaha Storm Chasers
Kyle Jensen, LF: 1-for-3, HR (3), RBI
Doug Mathis, SP: 5 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 1 K
New Orleans lost a game they were never really in on Wednesday night in Omaha. Kyle Jensen hit his third homer in New Orleans and his nineteenth on the season. If Jensen keeps this up, he will easily eclipse his previous single-season home run record of 27 in 2011.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
L 3-5 vs. Pensacola Blue Wahoos
Mark Canha, LF: 2-for-3
Zack Cox, 3B: 1-for-4, HR (1), RBI
Jay Jackson, SP: 7 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
Arquimedes Caminero, RP: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
Jacksonville might have lost another tight game at home, but there were definitely bright spots from Wednesday's loss. For one, Mark Canha, a traditional first baseman, played outfield and performed well at the plate. The Suns got seven innings from Jay Jackson and Arquimedes Caminero had another night in which he was practically unhittable.
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads
L 0-1 vs. St. Lucie Mets
Christian Yelich, CF: 1-for-4
Jose Urena, SP: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
Facing a formidable opponent in Kevin Plawecki and the Mets, Jose Urena pitched seven dominant, scoreless innings. Urena has had his share of rough moments this season, but he seems to have finally settled into a groove in Jupiter. Christian Yelich had one of Jupiter's only two hits in his first rehab outing.
