Kevin Kouzmanoff had a clutch two-out single to bring home the go-ahead run in the tenth inning in Iowa. The New Orleans pitching staff was outstanding all game, starting with six shutout innings from Doug Mathis. New Orleans improves to one game short of .500 at 52-53.

Jupiter's offense never really got going in their loss to Clearwater on Wednesday afternoon. Aside from outfielder Ryan Goetz, only three other players in the Hammerheads lineup recorded hits. Jupiter falls to 52-48 on the season with the defeat.

In what is by far their worst loss of the season, Batavia blew a seven run lead in the top of the ninth inning against Jamestown. Pitchers James Wooster and Dane Stone were responsible for allowing all nine runs in the ninth. A Adam Frazier two-run double, followed by a Michael Fransoso three-run homer, were the hits that pushed the Jammers over the top.

The GCL Marlins were shutout by the Mets midday Wednesday. Cody Harris, the Marlins 2013 24th round pick, struggled in four innings. K.J. Woods doubled to lead the offense. The Marlins fall to 11-17 on the year with the loss.
