New Orleans lost to Nashville on Saturday in a long game tha lasted over three and a half hours. Kyle Skipworth reached base twice, with his second double in three games. Gorkys Hernandez hit a three-run homer in the ninth, but New Orleans still fell just short of completing the comeback. The Zephyrs fall to 50-51 on the season with the loss.

Justin Nicolino, SP: 3 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
Despite Mark Canha having a day to remember at the plate, Jacksonville could never recover from the seven runs Tennessee scored in the first three innings. Canha reached base all four times he was up, and finished just a triple short of the cycle. Justin Nicolino had a rough day starting against Javier Baez and a stacked Smokies lineup.

Jose Urena pitched well enough to win, successfully taming Mason Williams and the Yankees on Saturday night at Roger Dean Stadium. Brent Keys and Ryan Rieger had three hits apiece to power the Jupiter offense. The Hammerheads are now 50-46 on the season and 14-14 in the second half.

Viosergy Rosa and Cameron Flynn both had three of Greensboro's fourteen hits in their 9-4 win over Hagerstown on Saturday. Scott Lyman pitched his third consecutive quality start in front of just under 6,000 spectators at NewBridge Bank Park.

Domingo German had another exceptional start on Saturday in the GCL Marlins 4-1 win. German has not allowed more than one earned run in any of his five outings on the season. He has definitely earned a promotion to Batavia sooner rather than later. Tony Caldwell, selected out of Auburn in the 24th round of the 2011 draft, collected three hits to raise his average on the season to .556.
