Break out the brooms, because the Miami Marlins are going for the sweep.
It feels good to say that after the Marlins suffered through a nine-game losing streak, including dropping every game of the Tampa Bay Rays season series. The Marlins played two excellent games versus the New York Mets and will look to make it a third straight win, but standing in their way is the Mets' best starter, Matt Harvey.
Pitching Matchup
Proj Win% | Proj ERA | FIP | ERA | Marlins | Mets | ERA | FIP | Proj ERA | Proj Win% |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
.416 | 4.73 | 3,90 | 3.59 | Slowey | Harvey | 1.85 | 2.28 | 3.51 | .520 |
Kevin Slowey has done a passable job assisting the Marlins' staff, and if his ERA continues to stay low, maybe the Fish can even get some small return for him by midseason. Matt Harvey is an ace who has been the best pitcher in the National League so far this season. Advantage, Mets.
Lineup
No lineup today, as I am not around for the immediate pre-game hours. Going to need your assistance, Fish Stripers.
Notes
- I should be around for the game itself, but I am running another practice exam this morning.
- Ichthyomancy and fantasy league results will be posted later in the day, if I am available. It is likely I will finish these during the game. If not, keep an eye out next week.
Bold Prediction: Mets def. Marlins 5-0
