Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
L 3-7 @ Memphis Redbirds
L 3-7 @ Memphis Redbirds
Gorkys Hernandez, CF: 3-for-5, HR (1), SB (16)
Jake Smolinski, LF: 2-for-4, RBI
Brian Flynn, SP: 4.2 IP, 10 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Brian Flynn had his first rough start in a while, as he was hit hard by Kolten Wong, Oscar Taveras, and the rest of the Memphis lineup. Facing one of his most challenging opponents of the season, Flynn did not impress.
On the bright side, Gorkys Hernandez homered and stole his 16th base of the year. Duane Below will get the start for the Zephyrs tomorrow night.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns

High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads
L 0-2 @ Brevard County Manatees
Austin Barnes, C: 1-for-2, 2 BB
Wilfredo Gimenez, DH: 2-for-4
Jake Esch, SP: 4.0 IP, 3 H, ER, 4 BB, 2 K
Jupiter got shutout by David Goforth, a 2011 seventh-round pick by Milwaukee out of Ole Miss. Part of this was probably due to Goforth's eight fly balls generated, combined with the heavy wind coming in from center field. Jupiter falls to 33-31 and they move down to third in their division with the loss.
Low Class-A: Greensboro Grasshoppers
W 4-1 @ Lakewood Blue Claws
Tony Caldwell, C: 2-for-3, 3B, 2 RBI
Scott Lyman, SP: 6.2 IP, 5 H, ER, 10 K
Scott Lyman was flat out dominant facing a Lakewood lineup that features Roman Quinn and Larry Greene. For Lyman, this was his second start in his last three outings in which he struck out ten batters. Greensboro improves to 31-34 with the victory.
