Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
L 8-11 @ Albuquerque Isotopes
Ed Lucas, 3B: 2-for-4,1 RBI, 1 BB
Kyle Skipworth, C: 2-for-4, 1 BB, 2 RBI
Jacob Turner, SP: 3-for-3, 1 2B
Jacob Turner, SP: 6.1 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Jacob Turner was dominant for the first five and a half innings on Friday night. However, he ran into a little bit of trouble in the sixth inning and later in the seventh. Nonetheless, he pitched well enough to earn a victory. The Zephyrs bullpen was just terrible, allowing just seven runs in 1.2 innings of work.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
Game postponed
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads
W 7-4 @ Charlotte Stone Crabs
Austin Nola, SS: 2-for-2, 4 RBI
Austin Barnes, DH: 1-for-2, 1 2B, 1 BB, 3 R
Justin Nicolino, SP: 4.2 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
Nick Wittgren, RP: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, SV (5)
Justin Nicolino had a rough outing, facing a lineup including Richie Shaffer and Jake Hager, but the Hammerheads scored three runs in the last three innings to eek out a win. Facing a talented pitcher in Felipe Rivero, Austin Nola and Austin Barnes both had big days at the plate.
Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers
L 0-3 @ West Virginia Power
Juancito Martinez, OF: 1-for-4
Ramon Del Orbe, SP: 4.1 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K
The Grasshoppers managed only three hits against Orlando Castro and the Power. Playing first base, former first-round pick Stetson Allie reached base twice. Ramon Del Orbe didn't pitch great, but he only allowed two earned runs, so there's that.
