With the Marlins' season dreary in these final months, two Marlins' minor league teams will be playing in their leagues playoffs. These teams have both had outstanding seasons and will look to continue their success in the playoffs. Single-A Greensboro and High-A Jupiter both won their first postseason game this week, but they'll need to keep up the great pitching to keep winning in the playoffs.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers of the South Atlantic League finished their season at 80-59 and cliched the first half division playoff spot. In the Grasshoppers seven-year history, this was the first year they eclipsed the 80-win mark. In the playoffs, Greensboro will face off against Hagerstown, the Nationals A-Ball affiliate. Hagerstown is led by Cutter Dykstra and Billy Burns.

The Grasshoppers won game one of the three-game series 3-1. Andrew Heaney, the Marlins' first overall selection in the 2012 MLB Amateur draft, pitched seven shutout innings and struck out eight. It's great to see Heaney pitching in (somewhat) important games this late in the season.

High-A Jupiter of the FSL finished the season at 74-62. This is most likely due to their crazy abundance of talent in comparison to other Florida State League teams. Led by Mark Canha, Christian Yelich, Jacob Realmuto, Marcell Ozuna, Adam Conley, and Jose Fernandez, the Hammerheads reached their franchise's 1,000th win this year. Facin

In a best-of-three game series, Jupiter will face the St.Lucie Mets. St. Lucie, whose star players are Cory Vaughn and Cesar Puello, finished the season with 83 wins. Jupiter won the first game 3-1 and just lost the second game 2-1.
