As baseball players, it is an obligation for them to give back to the community. The Marlins do a class-act job of that, and we'll focus on some recent ways they've given back to the Miami community in this week's social media focus piece.
We'll start things off with the Tweet of the Week that talks about Logan Morrison giving back:
Special shout out to @LoMoMarlins. He is doing a lot of great things in the community. Awesome turnout for Miami's Children's Hospital!

As catcher Brett Hayes points out, here's LoMo getting a haircut:

Before we show more charitable acts by the Marlins, the guys did some good things on the field as well, like this play by Hanley Ramirez:
Since the Marlins didn't play too often because of the All-Star break, the Marlins had time and hair to give back to the community. Saturday night was all about the children.
Today from 5pm-7pm in the @MarlinsPark West Plaza, @LoMoMarlins, David Samson, players & staff will shave their heads! miami.marlins.mlb.com/news/article.j…

In other social news, Showtime's "The Franchise" debuted last week, and fans enjoyed what they saw:

#TheFranchise was amazing.. @Marlins are going to surprise us all this year

Fans also got to see Flo Rida perform after the game on Friday.
Club can't handle them right now! #FridayNightLive #WILDONES twitter.com/Marlins/status…

Flo Rida talks about his first appearance to Marlins Park in this video.
There was one more appearance by a celebrity — this time a former player. Legendary catcher Ivan Rodriguez was honored by the Marlins, and he talked about his time with Rich and Jeff.
Miami continues their second half run by finishing out their current series against the Nationals before traveling up to Chicago and Pittsburgh.
