I apologize for the tardiness gang, but the second half of the season begins tonight with the Miami Marlins taking on the Washington Nationals, and I had preparations to make*!
*They were for my trip to south Florida, but that's not the point!
The Fish will battle the Nats with a chance to pull a little closer in the division and at least make the Wild Card and NL East something of a race for the team. The good news is that the last time the Fish faced the Nationals, the Marlins came away with a sweep and looked good for a change in June. The bad news is the team is coming off a rough series a week ago in St. Louis.
Due to time constraints from my tardiness, I will give you just a bold prediction for tonight's Jordan Zimmermann / Josh Johnson tilt, but I want to point you guys to the series preview interview I did with Patrick Reddington of the Nationals SB Nation blog Federal Baseball. Check out the interview, and check out Federal Baseball if you want to get to know the enemy better.
Bold Prediction: Marlins def. Nationals 3-2
