After not scoring a single run the night before, the Marlins were cut short offensively again against the Braves despite putting one across the plate.

It came off the bat off of center fielder Bryan Petersen as he brought in his first RBI of the season in his 21st game of the year.

The offense was just not there. Miami only scraped together one extra base hit, and that was from the bat off of Giancarlo Stanton where he got his 16th double of the season off of Randall Delgado.

Delgado had a huge night-on the mound and in the batter's box as well.

Delgado went 6.1 innings due to the Braves having a deep bullpen. In those six-plus innings, Delgado allowed the two hits and the RBI from Petersen. The bullpen came in to throw a perfect 2.2 innings.

The pitcher also brought his bat to the game as he singled in the fourth which brought in Dan Uggla.

For the Marlins, Josh Johnson brought in another quality start but fell short again as Johnson's record on the season falls to 3-4. He threw 7.2 innings allowing the two runs on six hits.

Atlanta will go for the sweep on the road at 7:10 Thursday.
