Usually, I do not get to go to Miami Marlins baseball games on account of me being in different places during the baseball season. The last year and a half, I have been on the island of Dominica attending Ross University School of Medicine. The five years before that, I was at the University of Florida completing my undergraduate degree and working for a year. So even while I have been blogging about the Marlins since 2009, I have barely been able to make it out to games.

But this most recent semester for Ross has taken back to my hometown of Weston, Florida, and that has conveniently placed me in the thick of one of the most entertaining seasons in Marlins history. So for the last month that I am in south Florida, I planned on going to a couple of games during the Marlins' three series at home.

This weekend is one of them!

For this weekend's second tilt between the Marlins and the Houston Astros, I will be in the stadium checking out the game at the new park myself alongside a couple of friends from school. If you are going to be at this Saturday's game, you should come by and say hi! I'll be at section 27, row 12, seat 19, drop by and introduce yourself! I am always interested in meeting the readers of Fish Stripes when I get a chance, so make sure you come by and introduce yourself at some point during the game!

After the game, you can expect a few more features from yours truly. First off, you will get a bonus game recap from me, taken from a live perspective, in addition to the recap you will receive from the Fish Stripes staff. Secondly, you will get a review of the stadium that you have yet to see from Fish Stripes, complete with pictures and reviews of the good and bad of the new stadium! Expect these features to come up this upcoming Sunday (the recap) and Monday (the stadium review).

So if you will be at the stadium for the Marlins versus the Houston Astros, come by to section 27, row 12, seat 19, and come see me at the Marlins game! And after the game, come check out Fish Stripes again for all the extra features you can expect following a visit to the brand new Marlins Park!
