The Marlins will be looking to even the series and like, actually win a game in the home stadium.
Anibal Sanchez takes the hill for the Marlins. Anibal pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs in his last outing. Actually the start was going pretty well until Danny hit a 3-run home run. But no shame in that, he is doing it to everyone right now. Anibal hasn't logged a W since June 10, but it is not that he has pitched badly, he hasn't. It is that the run support has been nonexistent in most of his starts.
Jake Westbrook toes the rubber for the Cardinals. In Westbrook's last start he went 6 innings, allowing on 3 hits but gave up 4 runs. He had a perfect game going into the sixth when everything fell apart. Westbrook has been hot and cold for most of season, so who knows how he will pitch tonight. He throws a fastball (90 mph), slider, cutter and change. His most effective pitch is the change up. Also, he normally pitches better on the road than at home but is known to give up his fair share of walks.
The Marlins starting lineup:
Boni, SS
Dobbs, 3B
Stanton, RF
LoMo, LF
Gaby, 1B
Cameron, CF
Thurston, 2B
Buck, C
Anibal, P
Lots of changes to the order and we get our first look at Thurston. Heal fast Omar.
