The Marlins are back home after a successful 6-2 road trip. Their first opponent on the home stand will be the Cardinals who are in town to play a four-game set.

The Marlins will try to send Clay Hensley to the mound, once again. Whatever I wrote about Hensley still applies for today, with the exception of the Mets stuff. This will be Hensley second career start against the Cardinals, the first was a long time ago. The extra day of rest should have little to no effect on him.

Kyle Lohse takes his turn in the rotation for the Cardinals. In his last start Lohse only went 5 innings giving up 2 hits and 5 runs, none of which were earned. If the Cardinals want to breakout that kind of defensive support again, I'm all for it. Lohse is in a rough stretch, in fact, he hasn't thrown a "quality" start in his last six outings. He throws a fastball (89 mph), slider, curve and change. His slider and change are his most effective pitches.

The Marlins starting lineup:

Boni, SS
Infante, 2B
Dobbs, 3B
Gaby, 1B
LoMo, LF
Stanton, RF
Cameron, CF
Buck, C
Hensley, P

Hanley gets the night off as expected.

Ichthyomancy is glad to be back home.

Best of Luck to You!
