Thursday's Game Moved Up; Doubleheader on Wednesday

The game against the Reds on Thursday has been moved up due to Hurricane Irene. The teams will play a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Reds and Marlins have moved up Thursday's game by a day and will play a doubleheader on Wednesday to close out the three-game set, as inclement weather from Hurricane Irene is expected to impact the South Florida area on Thursday.

The single-admission doubleheader will start at 4:10 p.m. ET, with Game 2 beginning approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.

Tickets to Thursday's scheduled game will be redeemable for any remaining 2011 regular-season home game, including Wednesday's doubleheader. Tickets may be redeemed at Sun Life Stadium starting at 10 a.m. All game tickets originally purchased for Wednesday's game will now be valid for both games of the doubleheader.

So there you have it. Still hoping Irene moves east of us, but it is going to rain, a lot, even if it does.*

* Keep in mind that I only took one course in Meteorology in college, so my predictions may be way off.
