The Marlins will hopefully be in sweep avoidance mode. That is assuming they remember how to do that at home.
Anibal Sanchez takes the hill for the Marlins. Anibal had a horrible start his last time out, only going 3.2 innings while allowing 7 runs. Don't look for a repeat of that, Anibal is too good of a pitcher to let that happen again. If he gets a fair strike zone and has command of his pitches he will give the Marlins a chance to win.
Kyle Kendrick in on the mound for the Phillies. Kendrick was roughed up in his last start, he did go 7 innings but gave up 6 runs in the process. Kendrick this season has been better at home than on the road, so we have that going for us. He throws a fastball (90 mph), cutter and change. The change has been his most effective pitch.
The Marlins starting lineup:
Boni, 3B
Infante, 2B
Gaby, 1B
Ramirez, SS
LoMo, LF
Stanton, RF
Petersen, CF
Buck, C
Anibal, P
I like that Jack moved Petersen up in the order. Hitting in front of the pitcher sometimes requires the batter to expand his hitting zone and that is best left to a veteran and not to someone trying to prove they belong in the Majors.
Ichthyomancy is kinda, sorta ready.
Best of Luck to You!
