Breakout the brooms Florida because the Marlins are going for the sweep.
Brad Hand is back and will be on the hill for the Marlins. I always have mixed feelings when he is up with the big club. The young man has talent and will be a part of the rotation in the future, but still there is something about bringing up a pitcher who isn't quite Major League ready. But you sure wouldn't know he wasn't quite ready by his ERA. If Hand can keep from walking everyone in sight, he should do well.
John Lannan gets the ball for the Nationals. Lannan's last start was a very good one. He went 6.1 innings allowing only 3 hits and 1 earned run. Lannan hasn't allowed more than 3 runs in a game in almost forever. He throws a fastball (90 mph), slider, curve and change. His curve may be his most effective pitch though all are in the plus category.
The Marlins starting lineup:
Boni, 3B
Infante, 2B
LoMo, LF
Ramirez, SS
Stanton, RF
Cameron, CF
Helms, 1B
Hayes, C
Hand, P
Gaby gets another day off. Helms gets the start at first since Lannan is a lefty. And anyways, Helms needs to get a little playing time. Also there is Brett Hayes sighting. Woo Hoo!
Ichthyomancy really hates weekday day games.
Best of Luck to You!
