The Marlins are going for the series win tonight and to keep climbing up the division standings.
Javier Vazquez in on the mound for the Marlins. Vazquez's last outing was a little rough in that he only went 4.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs. Which made it the only non-quality start in his last 5 trips to the mound. But to be fair, there was a 2.5 hour rain delay mixed in the middle and that would mess up anyone's night.
Livan Hernandez toes the rubber for the Nationals. Hernandez finally got back on track in his last start going 6 innings and only allowing 2 runs. However, that was against the Astros. I would go into what Livan throws, but best I can tell he just makes it up as he goes along. But I do know this, none of it will be fast.
The Marlins starting lineup:
Boni, 3B
Infante, 2B
Dobbs, 1B
Ramirez, SS
LoMo, LF
Stanton, RF
Cameron, CF
Buck, C
Vazquez, P
Gaby gets the night off again, the club is being, understandably, cautious with him. So Dobbs gets another try at his Lou Gehrig impersonation. Take heart Gaby fans, there is no way he will be Wally Pipped.
Ichthyomancy is still here.
Best of Luck to You!
