When Fredi Gonzalez made the decision to pitch to Mike Stanton instead of Ozzie Martinez in the bottom of the ninth, it seemed as though the Marlins' losing streak was about to come to an end. Mike Stanton delivered a two-run single to tie up the game, and it was on to extra innings.

The Marlins wouldn't regain the lead, however, and dropped their seventh in a row, and fourth straight series as they fell to the Brave 3-2 at Sun Life Stadium.

Mike Dunn worked a scoreless ninth, but in the top of the tenth he allowed an RBI single to Freddie Freeman to put the Braves back on top.

The Marlins wouldn't score again, despite a double from Chris Coghlan and a walk from Omar Infante. With two outs, Andy Fletcher rung up Gaby Sanchez on a very questionable pitch to end the game.

The Marlins have now lost seven in a row, and apparently Jeff Loria thinks it's hitting coach John Mallee's fault. He got canned after the game.
