The Fish dropped their third straight series, and their fourth straight one-run game on Sunday afternoon at Sun Life Stadium.
Due to an off-game for Anibal Sanchez, the Brewers led by five for most of the game, after scoring three runs in the third and another pair in the fourth. Anibal lasted just five innings before the Marlins bullpen took over.
Chris Narveson held the Marlins scoreless through five innings, but in the bottom of the sixth, the bats came to life. At least a few of them. Logan Morrison worked a walk, and Gaby Sanchez doubled to drive in the first run of the game. After Mike Stanton singled, Greg Dobbs worked a walk to load the bases for Brett Hayes. On one swing, Brett tied up the game with a grand slam to left.
Unfortunately, the Marlins wouldn't score another run. They loaded up the bases again in the bottom of the ninth, but as is becoming their custom, they left everybody on base.
The Fish bullpen held the Brewers scoreless for five innings, but in the top of the 11h, Mike Dunn gave up a solo shot to Josh Wilson, and the Brew Crew won it, 6-5.
This slump is really becoming a joy to watch.
