The Marlins are not going to finish the season 32-130, just ain't gonna happen. So therefore, this losing streak will come to an end sometime, and tonight is as good of a night as any to end it.

Javier Vazquez takes the mound for the Fish. In Javy's last start he pitched reasonably well for him going 5 innings and only allowing 2 runs. Of course, the Marlins didn't score any runs in the game so Vazquez took home the L for his effort. Javy normally pitches better on the road than at home, but he has been known to put a good game together in the home park on occasion.

Ervin Santana gets the start for the Angels. His last outing was a nice one going 6.2 innings and only allowing 2 runs while striking out 7, which the Halos lost. It seems here recently the Angels can't be bothered to score any runs when he is on the mound. And hopefully this will remain true for tonight. Santana throws a fastball (93 mph), slider and change. His slider is really good, if he can throw it for strikes, which isn't always guaranteed.

The Marlins starting lineup:

Boni, CF
LoMo, LF
Gaby, 1B
Ramirez, SS
Dobbs, 3B
Stanton, RF
Buck, C
Infante, 2B
Vazquez, P

Hanley must have gotten out of the doghouse and apparently, Stanton's eye problem has cleared up.

Ichthyomancy is still wanting that very elusive win.

Best of Luck to You!
