For the last twelve games, between the two teams, the Marlins and Diamondbacks have alternated victories. Seeing how the D-backs won last night, now it is the Marlins turn. Or at least that is way I see it.
Brad Hand gets his second start in the Majors. Hand was very, very good in his debut. He only allowed one hit in six innings of work. However, it turned out to be unfortunate that the one hit was a home run which was the only run scored in the game. Brad has the stuff, it is just a matter of whether he can control it. But if he does, maybe just maybe, the offensive can be bothered to actually score a run.
The D-backs are sending Daniel Hudson to the hill. In his last start Hudson went 7 innings allowing only 3 hits but 3 runs crossed the plate, however only 1 was earned. The Marlins faced him on June 1 scoring 4 runs in 7 innings of work. Naturally the Marlins didn't win the game, given that the team has only won one game in June. Hudson is basically a three-pitch pitcher: he throws a fastball (93 mph), slider and change. All three are plus pitches. This will be his first start ever at JRS and he is a creature of the night.
Ichthyomancy is looking to keep the alternating streak alive.
Best of Luck to You!
