The Marlins are going for win number two in-a-row. Haven't said that in quite awhile.

Javier Vazquez takes the hill for the Marlins. Javy had a pretty poor showing his last time out. Only going 4 innings and giving up 6 runs in process. The last time he faced the D-backs he did go 6 innings while giving up 4 runs. Javy has seemingly gotten his bases on balls problem worked out. However a new one has cropped up, he is giving up too many long-balls. Hopefully that has been corrected.

Ian Kennedy gets the start for the D-backs. In his last start Kennedy went 7 innings and only allowed the Nats 1 run. The last time he faced the Marlins he pitched only 5 innings while letting in 3 runs. Kennedy throws a whole assortment of pitches but so far his fastball (90 mph), slider and cutter have been his best. He is known to walk more than his fair share of batters.

The Marlins starting lineup:

Coghlan, CF

Infante, 2B

LoMo, LF

Gaby, 1B

Stanton, RF

Dobbs, 3B

Buck, C

Boni, SS

Vazquez, P

Really not any surprises there.

Note: Hanley continues on with his rehab assignment in Jupiter, tonight he will be playing short. If everything keeps going well the Marlins will activate him on Tuesday, June 14. Which is the first day he is eligible to come off the DL.

Ichthyomancy wants to start a winning streak.

Best of Luck to You!
