The Marlins are looking for win number two in the St. Louis series.
Anibal Sanchez takes the mound for the Marlins. Anibal last outing was like expect, his number of pitches were limited since the time before he flirted with a no hitter. With the shorten outing and an extra day of rest, thanks to the day off, he should be good to go tonight. This will be only his second start in his career at Busch Stadium, but I like the way his first one went. He pitched 7 innings, 4 hits, struck out 8 while allowing 0 runs.
Kyle McClellan gets the nod for the Cardinals. So far this season when McClellan starts, the Cardinals win. That is a streak that needs to be broken. McClellan got the job as a starter when Wainwright went out with an injury and he has proven to be a pretty good replacement. One area of concern, for him, is his control. He has a tendency to walk too many batters. McClellan throws a fastball (89 mph), cutter, curve and change. His change has been stellar so far this season.
I don't know what the Marlins lineup is, just yet. But I will go out on a limb and guess: Anibal hit ninth.
Ichthyomancy is more or less ready.
Best of Luck to You!
