The Marlins turned the plane (bus?) south and now are in L.A. to play three against the Dodgers.
Javier Vazquez takes the mound for the Marlins. Vazquez put together an excellent start his last time out. Going 7 innings and not allowing a run. Hopefully he will be able to build on that or at least get close to duplicating it tonight. It will be interesting to see if Javy has figured something out, or if that was a flash from the past.
Jon Garland gets the ball for the Dodgers. Garland flat stunk in his last start, but that hasn't been the case for most of the year. For most of season he has put forth quality starts, but hasn't received any run support to mention. Garland throws about every pitch that has been created. He throws a fastball (88 mph), slider, cutter, curve, change and a splitter. His cutter and splitter are his most effective pitches. Garland has a personal five game win streak going against the Fish, that needs to change.
The Marlins lineup is:
I will try to post it, but don't expect anything.
Ichthyomancy is ready for some more Midnight Baseball.
Best of Luck to You!
