The Marlins have placed Donnie Murphy on the 15-day DL.
St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins placed infielder Donnie Murphy on the 15-day disabled list Monday with right wrist inflammation.

The Marlins recalled outfielder Bryan Petersen from Triple-A New Orleans to fill Murphy's roster spot.
Probably not the worse thing. He needs time to heal and that is hard to do when trying to prepare for games on a daily basis. With Ozzie on the team, it only makes sense to bring up an outfielder. Petersen, in 22 games in NOLA, hit .342/.455/.562.
With him and Scott Cousins, that should strengthen the outfield defense should Edwin want to go that way. Petersen has only 25 plate appearances in the Majors, but he does have his first hit out of the way. Kinda hard to figure what the Marlins will get from him on offense. But like many players, if he can get some consistent playing time, he might surprise. And he is got off to a really good start in Triple-A.
