The Marlins have made their way to the nation's capital in order to play three against the Nationals.
Chris Volstad is on the hill for the Marlins. This will be Volstad second start in-a-row against the Nationals. In the last Volstad had a bad first inning in which he had to make 37 pitches to get out of it. After that, he pitched pretty well. Hopefully he will get off to a better start tonight.
Tom Gorzelanny gets the start for the Nationals. This will also be his second in-a-row against the same opponent. In his last one he completely shutdown the Fish and if it were not for a two-run home run by Buck, the Marlins would've been shutout. In that game the lefty only gave up two measly hits. But he did walk four, so he wasn't exactly pinpoint with his control. With any luck, the Marlins learned something from that outing and will do a little better tonight.
The Marlins lineup is:
Since there is a lefty starter Boni will take a shot at manning third. Also we get welcome back LoMo to the lineup.
We are doing the President's Race, assuming Rich and Tommy announce the winner. The contestants are:
Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt.
If you pick the winner of the race you get an Ichthyomancy point.
Ichthyomancy is ready for the weekend. Boy, is it ready.
Best of Luck to You!
