The Marlins are going for the series win tonight.
Ricky Nolasco is on the mound for the Marlins. Ricky is normally tough on the Phillies and has been excellent in the home park so far this year. If Ricky can keep the ball down and in the park and have command of those spinning pitches of his, he can make it a very long night for the Philadelphia hitters.
Cliff Lee takes his turn in the rotation for the Phillies. Lee has pitched well recently but has little to show for it. Since his teammates with the bats tend to take the night off when he on the mound. Lee throws a fastball (92 mph), slider, cutter, curve and change. So far this season Lee is using his fastball and slider less than in the past and it is gotten to the point where he rarely throws a slider anymore. In the meantime he is throwing his cutter, curve and change more.
The Marlins lineup is as follows:
Dobbs is out since there is a lefty starting. Buck moves up due to Dobbs being out and the fact he has had some success against Lee in the past.
The Marlins have called up righty reliever Steve Cishek in case they need some help in the bullpen while Vazquez is on the bereavement list.
If you listen to the game on the radio you will need to tune your dial to WHIM 1080AM since 790 The Ticket thinks it found something better to broadcast. I still don't understand how there can be a scheduling conflict when the schedule is posted so far in advance and 790 The Tickets knows they are suppose to carry them. But oh well.
Ichthyomancy is still running behind, but is getting closer.
Best of Luck to You!
