Logan Morrison played in his second game at Jupiter with similar results to the first.
Logan Morrison was hitless in three at-bats Tuesday night in his second rehab game with Class A Jupiter. He went hitless in three at-bats Monday, too. He'll play again Wednesday, and then the Marlins will decide if he needs another rehab game or if he can be activated from the disabled list to join the team in Washington on Friday.
Hitless doesn't matter, what matters in how his foot is feeling and if he ready to go three in-a-row, one can only presume it is feeling at least pretty decent.
No doubt the Hammerheads are hoping that he will be in another rehab game after Wednesday's and few more after that. Not that they wish LoMo any ill will but they are benefiting from the situation. For you see, when a major league player is on a rehab assignment it is traditional for the player to buy the post-game spread since he is keeping someone on the team from playing. The normal situation for those in the minors is that there is no post-game spread. The players just drive through whatever fast food joint, which is still open after the game, and has the best specials. But when a major leaguer is present, they all eat better and for free. And given how much money most of them make, that is a good thing.
