The Marlins are going for the series win tonight.
Javier Vazquez takes the hill for the Marlins. Hopefully this outing will be better than his last one. Shoot, it couldn't be much worse. Now here is the good news, in his career, he has made 5 starts in Minute Maid and in them he has complied a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 2.83. So the park does suit his style of pitching.
Bud Norris is taking his turn in the rotation for the Astros. Norris is also coming off a rocky first start. The righty throughout his career has averaged over a strikeout per inning. But control can sometimes be an issue as he has averaged 4.39 BB/9 since becoming a professional. Norris throws a fastball, slider and change. The slider is his best pitch. Like most pitchers, he does his best work at home.
A couple of changes to the lineup tonight. For one, Mike Stanton will be starting in right field. With Hanley out, Donnie Murphy will be at short. In case you didn't know, Donnie was a short stop when coming up through the minors. So there shouldn't be any problem, defensively, there. Gregg Dobbs will get the start at third.
The game isn't on FSFL, however, it is scheduled to be shown on the MLB Network. Assuming they don't black it out in Florida. Which I can't think of one reason why it would. Should that fall through, and you have MLB Extra Innings, you can see it there.
Ichthyomancy is ready to do it again.
Best of Luck to You!
