The Marlins are beginning a 10-day, 9-game road trip and it starts off tonight in Houston.

Ricky Nolasco takes the hill for the Marlins. Ricky first outing went pretty good, especially considering he had a shorten spring. He is still getting the feel of his pitches. In the game against the Mets he couldn't get his slider to work at all, and he was also having troubles staying down in the zone. But hopefully that will change tonight. Ricky has started in Minute Maid twice and the park has been good to him. In MMP he is 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA, but Ricky always pitches well on the road.

The Astros will counter with Wandy Rodriguez. Rodriguez's first start of the season, against the Phillies, didn't go well at all. Note the stats above. Still I think it is interesting that the Phillies scored 7 runs on 9 hits and not one of the hits was a home run. That's kinda hard to do in CBP. Wandy is basically a three pitch pitcher. The lefty throws a fastball, curve and will mix in a nice change from time-to-time. He has always pitched well against the Fish, but I console myself with the fact that many of those appearances were when the team could hit a soft-tossing lefty to save their lives.

This the Home Opener for the Astros so a nice crowd should be on hand.

The only lineup change for the Marlins, Donnie Murphy is back at third.

Ichthyomancy is ready.

Best of Luck to You!
