The Marlins find themselves in sweep avoidance mode. Hopefully for the last time this season.
Andrew Miller takes the mound for the Marlins. BGA really hasn't put together a decent start in quite some time, however, the last time he did was against the Braves. On September 3 (this year), he went 5 innings giving up only 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 6 and walking only 3. It is always possible that BGA will get it together, but more than likely the guys with bats need to some damage in order to win this one.
Derek Lowe is on tap for the Braves. Lowe will be pitching on three-days for the first time in two years. While the Marlins have roughed him up some in the past, sinker ballers sometimes are better when they are a little bit tired. Maybe that won't be the case today. The last time the Marlins faced him he only lasted 3 innings giving up 5 runs on 6 hits. If he wants to repeat that performance, we are for it.
Ichthyomancy is hoping you are finding a way to stay dry, with may be a Herculean task.
Best of Luck to You!
