The Marlins will be looking to even up the series tonight.
Adalberto Mendez is on the hill for the Marlins. Adalberto will be making is second career start and thanks to schedulers it will be against the team he made his first career start against. He pitched an excellent game in the first one throwing six innings of shutout ball, allowing only one hit and striking out six. It would be a very good thing for him and the team if he could do something close to that again.
Cole Hamels is on the mound for the Phillies. Hamels will be trying to extend his career best shutout innings streak. I think it stands at 25. All streaks are made to be broken and this is one the Marlins need to break, preferably, early and often. Historically he hasn't done well in Florida, in that, he has never won a game in our park. It's quite all right if that streak continues tonight.
Ichthyomancy is running late but it is here.
Best of Luck to You!
