Believe it or not, the Marlins are going for the series win today.
Sean West is on the hill for the Marlins. West was kind of a mixed bag in his first start this season for the Fish. At times he pitched really well and at other times he didn't. The main things that sunk him in his first start was giving up the long ball and the defense causing him to get extra outs. If West can keep the ball in the park and also have the defense help out for a change, he has the potential to put up a decent outing.
Jeff Suppan is the starter of choice for the Cardinals. Suppan actually got his first win this season in his last start. He went 5.1 innings and allowed 0 runs on five hits against the Pirates. Suppan has yet to go deep in a game since joining the starting rotation. Expect to see the Cardinals bullpen around the sixth, if not before. This will be his first start,, ever, against the Marlins.
Ichthyomancy is looking for lightening to strike twice.
Best of Luck to You!
